In 2022, Huseyin Berk, the Hackney Paedophile, a guy who enticed two young girls into an abandoned garage in Hackney and sexually assaulted them, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Huseyin Berk, 45, from Amhurst Park, Hackney, enticed two girls, one of whom was under 13, into a garage in Hackney on multiple occasions between April and October 2018 to perpetrate sexual assaults on them.
Huseyin Berk, sometimes referred to as ‘Alex’, warned the girls that “bad things would happen” if they disclosed his actions to anybody. Nevertheless, the girls residing in the same vicinity as Berk courageously disclosed their experiences to a relative, who promptly notified the authorities.
The Metropolitan Police reported that the relative recounted how the two girls informed them that Huseyin Berk “had lured them into an abandoned garage and sexually assaulted them multiple times between April and October” of that year.
They detailed how Huseyin Berk had approached them while walking his dog as the girls played outside.
Huseyin Berk was apprehended in November 2018 after an inquiry conducted by Metropolitan Police detectives specialising in child sexual offences. He was indicted in August 2021.
Huseyin Berk was convicted on Wednesday, June 29, of two counts of sexual assault by penetration against a girl under 13, pertaining to one victim, and one count of the same offence involving another victim, after a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
On Friday, September 23, he received a sentence of 12 years’ jail and was registered on the Sexual Offenders Register for life.
