In 2022, Shem Jones, a convicted Ceredigion paedophile who journeyed from Wales to engage in sexual activity with a youngster and lured another child online, was jailed.
Shem Jones, 39, journeyed from his residence in Ceredigion, in West Wales, to the North East to see a 9-year-old youngster with whom he had been communicating online through the boy’s mother.
Unbeknownst to him, he conversed with an undercover investigator from the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit (NEROCU).
Shem Jones received a sentence of 12 years of imprisonment and an indefinite sexual harm prevention order for his reprehensible conduct.
