In 2024, Phillip Budrey, the Humberston Paedophile, characterised by law enforcement as a “deviant offender”, was sentenced to two years in prison after confessing to the sexual assault of a minor.
Phillip Budrey, 64, of Adlard Grove, Humberston, was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on Monday.
Phillip Budrey pleaded guilty at an earlier court hearing to sexual assault by touching a minor under 13.
Humberside Police commended the victim and her family for their willingness to come forward.
Detective Constable Nichola Oakley stated, “Phillip Budrey is a depraved criminal who preyed upon a susceptible young child and sexually assaulted her.”
“He is currently confronting incarceration, and I hope he seizes the opportunity to contemplate his immoral actions and their repercussions on the young child and their family.”
Phillip Budrey was registered as a sex offender for a duration of 10 years and was handed a sexual harm prevention order for the same period.
The authorities expressed their hope that the punishment would serve as a deterrent to others contemplating similar offences.
Detective Constable Oakley stated that the police would “exert all efforts” to bring perpetrators to justice.
She stated, “If you are a victim of sexual assault, please be assured that we are here to support you.” We shall listen and provide our assistance.
