Jaroslaw Adamkowski, then 42, a Stoke-on-Trent Rapist Sex Offender, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and pleaded guilty to the rape of a lady and two counts of voyeurism, including the filming of private conduct.

In February of this year, Jaroslaw Adamkowski sexually assaulted the victim and surreptitiously recorded her in a state of nakedness on two occasions in January.

Subsequently, we discovered the films upon scrutinising his phone.

In February, the victim courageously reported the assault to us, initiating an inquiry.

Jaroslaw Adamkowski was apprehended and subjected to interrogation, during which we obtained the evidence required to indict him on multiple charges.

Initially, he entered a plea of not guilty to the charges, but, due to the compelling nature of the evidence and the survivor’s bravery, he changed his plea to guilty in court last week.

Jaroslaw Adamkowski has been remanded and is scheduled to be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 3 November.

UPDATE 2026

In 2026, the Offender Database reported that Jaroslaw Adamkowski, 42, of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, was jailed for seven years and seven months following a “serious” investigation into sexual violence and voyeurism. Adamkowski appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday, 15 January 2026, where he was sentenced for the rape of a woman and two counts of recording a private act.

The investigation, led by the Staffordshire Police Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit, revealed that Adamkowski raped the survivor in February 2025. Forensic analysis of his mobile phone further uncovered two separate videos recorded in January 2025, showing the victim in a state of undress without her knowledge or consent. The prosecution emphasised the “vile” nature of these privacy breaches, which were used to sexually exploit the victim’s vulnerability.

During the proceedings, the survivor was praised for her bravery in coming forward to report the abuse, which allowed officers to secure the necessary evidence to charge Adamkowski. Detective Sergeant Razwana Nasheen emphasised that the force remains determined to seek the “toughest possible punishment” for perpetrators of such “vicious” crimes. Adamkowski pleaded guilty to all charges, acknowledging the severity of his “vile” behaviour.

As a result of his convictions for rape and voyeurism, Jaroslaw Adamkowski was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. He is managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) by Staffordshire Police, ensuring his behaviour in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas is strictly monitored upon his eventual release. Any attempt to breach his licensing conditions or engage in further “serious” sexual misconduct will result in his immediate return to prison.

Support for Survivors
