This is the initial image of Albert Okyere, the Donnington Rapist, who perpetrated rape against a stranger and sexually abused her companion following an evening at The Arcadian.

Albert Okyere, a ‘dangerous’ Dutch national, escaped to his native country following his brutal assault on two intoxicated ladies.

The 37-year-old fugitive, Albert Okyere, was ultimately extradited to the UK and is now incarcerated nine years after his egregious sexual offences.

A court was informed that the father, whose girlfriend continues to be ‘supporting’ him, deceived the women into thinking he was a ‘benevolent stranger’ merely providing them with a ride home.

Prior to dropping them off, he stopped at a secluded industrial location, where one of the women reportedly experienced a sudden realisation of his true intentions.

He thereafter initiated a brutal assault on both ladies before escorting them home in an effort to portray the incident as consensual.

Albert Okyere was found guilty of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault after an eight-day trial in December. The IT specialist from Ash-Lea Drive, Donnington, Telford, was sentenced to imprisonment at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

Sentencing Judge John Butterfield KC characterised Albert Okyere as a perilous criminal and imposed a 14-year enhanced term.

He is required to spend a minimum of two-thirds of his 12-year prison sentence and will be subjected to an additional two-year licence period upon release.

Albert Okyere will remain on the sex offender registry indefinitely. Birmingham Crown Court was informed that the assailant had been on an evening excursion at The Arcadian in November 2015.

He offered his ‘heavily intoxicated’ victims – who had also been out that night – a lift home before driving to the scene of the crime.

The sex offender was even ‘grinning’ as one of his ’emotionally distressed’ victims was forced to give in to his sick demands.

Albert Okyere went on to usher one of the victims outside before locking the car door behind him.

He continued his onslaught, raping her as her friend remained trapped inside the vehicle.

Judge Butterfield said ‘sober’ Albert Okyere was ‘bigger and stronger’ than his victims.

Albert Okyere – who has previous convictions for voyeurism and battery – did not show a ‘shred of contrition’, with his behaviour said to be ‘predatory from the outset’.

He will not be deported after serving his sentence.
