Christopher Phillips, the Plympton Child Killer, is currently living in Plympton with his new partner and is they are trying for a baby.
In 2004, Christopher Phillips received just a seven-year sentence for the slaughter of a nine-month-old infant in Saltash, thanks to the British Justice System.
Unrepentant Christopher Phillips, formerly of Pelynt, was found guilty of the manslaughter of Harley Rogers in December 2002.
His brother, Michael Phillips, referred to as Craig, was incarcerated for three years for inflicting actual bodily harm on Harley. He also received a one-year sentence for attempting to obstruct justice.
The trial revealed that the sound produced when the back of the child’s head was struck against a fireplace, akin to being “swung like a baseball bat or cricket bat,” resembled “a brick hitting concrete.”
The court also heard that Michael Phillips struck the infant, the child of his partner, Laura Shenton and another man, in the face, causing bleeding.
Harley passed away at Buller Park on 21 December 2002. The cause of death was a cerebral bleed, believed to have transpired approximately 36 hours prior to his demise.
