The Loughborough Rapist, Charles Isabirye, 48, previously residing on Ratcliffe Road, was convicted on Friday, September 12, of four charges of rape involving two victims after a trial at Leicester Crown Court.
Charles Isabirye brought two Ugandan women to the UK under the promise of work, then proceeded to rape them instead.
The initial victim reported a rape incident in 2022. Subsequent to the original disclosure, she determined that she was unable to pursue her case at that time.
In 2023, a second victim reported to Northamptonshire Police, prompting enquiries into that claim of rape, during which the first victim was contacted.
She then felt empowered to submit a formal report to the authorities, and her charges were thoroughly probed.
During the investigation, it was evident that Charles Isabirye had transported the women from Uganda to Britain under the pretence of providing employment and accommodation.
Upon arrival, this did not materialise, and Charles Isabirye exploited the women’s isolation in Britain, devoid of relatives or acquaintances.
While on bail for these charges, Charles Isabirye was active on social media, identifying his victims—who possess automatic, lifelong anonymity as victims of a sexual offence—and issuing threats against them and their family members if they did not ‘withdraw the case against him.’ This constituted a violation of his bail conditions.
He was also subject to a restraining order while on bail, which prohibited him from contacting his victims or their family members. This ensued after a conviction for harassment against the initial victim.
Charles Isabirye was convicted of one count of violating a restraining order and three charges of witness intimidation.
He is scheduled for sentencing on Monday, October 20.
Northamptonshire Police have bravely refused to release the British rapists image, read into that what you will.
UPDATE 23.10.25
Charles Isabirye, the Loughborough Rapist, found guilty of four charges of rape involving two victims, was sentenced to 17 years in prison on Wednesday, October 22, after the Judge remarked that he “sought to dominate all aspects of the victims’ lives.”
The sentencing hearing at Leicester Crown Court followed Charles Isabirye’s conviction from a trial at the same court last month.
Charles Isabirye, formerly of Ratcliffe Road, Loughborough, refuted the charges throughout the trial, asserting that his victims fabricated their accusations in cooperation with one another.
During the sentencing hearing, Charles Isabirye received a sentence on one count of violating a restraining order and three charges of witness intimidation, for which the jury also convicted him.
His Honour Judge Evans remarked on the intricate nature of the inquiry and the officer’s actions in the case, DC. Sarah Le Boutillier
He asserted that she “exhibited professionalism” notwithstanding allegations from Charles Isabirye over her behaviour and ethics.
In addressing Charles Isabirye, he remarked: “You persist in attributing the blame for your present situation to one of the victims, asserting that ‘If it were not for her, you would not be incarcerated.
“Throughout the trial, you concentrated on the inequity of the prosecution instead of the witness testimony, adhering to the belief that the matter was resolved. You perceived conspiracies ubiquitously and portrayed yourself as the victim.
“I am certain that you pose a significant threat to women.”
The 48-year-old, Charles Isabirye, was also subjected to a restraining order forbidding contact with the victims and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
