A Paedophile from Southampton, Jason Ullett, has been incarcerated for persistently downloading obscene photos of minors and violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Jason Ullett, 55, residing on Rownhams Road, was scrutinised by the Internet Child Abuse Investigation Team (ICAT) of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.
During the inquiry, detectives discovered almost 6,600 images and videos depicting the abuse of minors. Of these, 976 were classified as category A – the most severe classification.
Furthermore, Jason Ullett was discovered to hold graphic imagery depicting bestiality and the torture of both humans and animals.
Jason Ullett was apprehended thrice between August 2024 and January 2025, with law enforcement confiscating 40 digital devices carrying the illicit photos.
The police initiated an investigation into Jason Ullett on 22 March 2024, subsequently executing a warrant at his residence on 18 August of the same year. A quantity of gadgets was confiscated that the police were previously unaware of. He was obligated, pursuant to the stipulations of a previously enforced Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SHPO) by the courts, to inform the police of any new devices.
Several gadgets were secured or password-protected, constituting an additional violation of his SHPO.
In January of this year, law enforcement was informed that Jason Ullett was operating a vehicle without insurance. The police confiscated Jason Ullett’s vehicle; however, he declined to surrender the car key, informing the officers that he intended to complicate their lives ‘as much as possible.’
Access to the vehicle was obtained, and a laptop was discovered and confiscated by the authorities.
In the same month, Jason Ullett acquired another vehicle but failed to register it for taxation. Upon being halted while driving, cops discovered an additional laptop and a mobile phone that had not been disclosed to the police. These items were subsequently confiscated, along with the vehicle.
After a comprehensive examination of all of Jason Ullett’s devices, he was indicted on three counts of possessing indecent photos of minors, possessing extreme images, and four counts of violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
He refuted all charges, and the case proceeded to trial at Southampton Crown Court on 29 July of this year, where he was found guilty on all counts.
He was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at the same court yesterday (Wednesday, September 10).
