Two survivors of sexual abuse by the Nottingham Rapist, Jordan Hutchinson, have been commended for their bravery and integrity after assisting investigators in incarcerating a rapist.
Both ladies were susceptible adolescents when they were assaulted by Jordan Hutchinson, yet they exhibited the courage to report the humiliating experiences he inflicted upon them to the authorities.
Their accounts, along with communications retrieved from Jordan Hutchinson’s mobile device, provided detectives with the requisite evidence to substantiate charges against him.
The initial victim was raped and sexually attacked by Jordan Hutchinson between late 2019 and early 2020.
He sexually assaulted the second victim repeatedly from the summer of 2020 until early 2021.
One victim confined herself in her bathroom and contacted a friend in distress after being assaulted by Hutchinson.
Notwithstanding the substantial evidence implicating him, Jordan Hutchinson persisted in denying his wrongdoing during interviews and proceeded to trial at Nottingham Crown Court in April.
A jury found the victims credible, resulting in Jordan Hutchinson’s conviction on six counts of rape and two charges of sexual assault.
Jordan Hutchinson, 24, of Foxearth Avenue, Nottingham, received an enhanced jail term of 15 years at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday, July 4.
He received an indefinite restraining order prohibiting any contact with both victims and was permanently listed to the Sex Offenders’ Register.
