A man, Shaun Munro Ayrshire Paedophile, has received a ten-year prison sentence following his conviction for sexual offences in the Ayrshire region.

Shaun Munro, 29, perpetrated these offences between 2019 and 2021 against three women and one child.

He received a ten-year prison sentence at the High Court in Paisley on Friday, following his conviction in the High Court in Glasgow on December 13.

Shaun Munro has been registered as a sex offender for an indefinite duration.

Detective Sergeant Ainsley Clark said: “Shaun Munro is an abusive individual who subjected the women and child to a prolonged period of abuse and showed utter disregard to the impact his crimes would have on them.

“We acknowledge how difficult these enquiries can be for individuals who have been subjected to sexual abuse, and I would like to commend the assistance provided during this investigation. I hope this outcome provides those exposed to his abuse, with some sense of closure.
