A man, Hassan Alsaadi, arrested after sexually assaulting a young woman outside a London Gatwick airport terminal In a dark spot at night, Hassan Alsaadi molested a lone woman without her permission.

Specifically, trained police provided help to the victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons. She told the cops what transpired outside the South Terminal at London Gatwick.

Alsaadi was sentenced at Hove Crown Court on January 19 following a conviction for sexual assault by touching.

Previously from Kingston Hill, Kingston upon Thames, the 33-year-old was imprisoned for five months.

He was registered as a sex offender for seven years, and the court also issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order requiring him to tell any new partner in future about his criminal conviction.

At about 7.45 pm on November 14, 2022, the court was informed of how the incident transpired.

Alone in the smoking section outside London Gatwick’s South Terminal was the victim.

Alsaadi approached her after she noticed him hiding in the adjacent woods and then sexually attacked her.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kirstie Prentice of Gatwick CID said: “This was a unique incident when Alsaadi targeted a young woman who was alone at night.

“He was quickly identified and apprehended by our police after working with London Gatwick’s security staff.

“The victim’s life is still being affected by the occurrence constantly.

“I commend her bravery in reporting her incident and her grit through the justice system.

“This case shows that we treat all accusations of sexual assault seriously and advise all victims to come forward to let us know about their experience.”
