Zachery “Zack” Griffiths, aged 34, of Golygfor, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, remains before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court after entering guilty or indicated guilty pleas to six separate charges relating to domestic abuse, criminal damage, and assaulting emergency workers.
The court heard that the charges stem from a series of disturbances in Whitland between 26 June and 28 June 2026. During the incidents, Griffiths carried out an assault by beating against a female victim, damaged her mobile telephone and prescription glasses, and made threats to cause criminal damage to her Mercedes motor vehicle. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Griffiths proceeded to assault two police constables acting in the execution of their duties as emergency workers.
Dyfed-Powys Police initiated criminal proceedings against Griffiths following the reports. During an initial court hearing on 30 June 2026, Griffiths entered guilty or indicated guilty pleas to the six offenses. A seventh count alleging intentional strangulation was formally discontinued by the prosecution prior to a scheduled trial on 12 August 2026.
Despite claiming full exoneration across public social media platforms, court registers confirm that Griffiths remains subject to active criminal proceedings for the remaining six substantive counts. The court record indicates that Griffiths has submitted an application to vacate his previous guilty pleas.
On 12 August 2026, magistrates remanded Griffiths on conditional bail until Thursday, 27 August 2026, to hear the application. His bail conditions require compliance with a daily curfew operating between 7:00pm and 7:00am, residence at his Golygfor address, an exclusion prohibiting him from entering the town of Whitland, and a strict ban on contacting the complainant either directly or indirectly.
