In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Wayne Elliot, then 31, was convicted at the Edinburgh High Court for a series of violent and horrific sexual offences committed against four girls. The sickening abuse spanned over a decade, occurring between October 2007 and September 2018 at various addresses in north west Edinburgh, central Fife, and north east Fife, Scotland. Wayne Elliot pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including rape, sexual assault, and lewd and libidinous practices.

The investigation into Wayne Elliot was launched by Fife’s Public Protection Unit in September 2018 after all four victims bravely came forward to report the prolonged abuse. The court heard that the victims were aged between six and 16 years old at the time they were targeted. The vile nature of the offences, involving multiple children over such an extended period, led to Elliot being designated as a high-risk predator within the Fife and Edinburgh communities.

During the proceedings, the prosecution detailed the profound impact the horrendous abuse had on the lives of the young victims. Wayne Elliot was arrested and charged on September 28, 2018, following a rapid inquiry by specialised officers. In early 2019, he was handed an extended sentence of 12 years at the High Court, reflecting the seriousness of his depraved actions and the necessity of protecting the public from his predatory behaviour.

As a result of his convictions for child rape and serious sexual assault, Wayne Elliot was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life. He is managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) by Police Scotland, remaining under supervision for the duration of his life. Any attempt to contact his victims or any breach of his strict registration requirements in Fife, Edinburgh, or elsewhere in Scotland will result in his immediate arrest and return to prison.
