In April 2020, Stuart Merry, then aged 40, of London Road, Peterborough, was sentenced at court to 14 months in prison after admitting breaches of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
The court heard details regarding a Cambridgeshire Constabulary investigation conducted by the Northern Public Protection Unit. Officers monitoring Merry identified that he had visited Peterborough Central Library to access the internet via a public terminal, violating his court-issued order.
Subsequent inspections of his mobile phone revealed that Merry had contacted another individual on the Sex Offenders Register and deleted the call logs from the device.
Merry pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
