Steven Blades, the Bretton Paedophile, a registered sex offender, has been incarcerated for persistently violating a court order.
Steven Blades, 35, was apprehended at his residence in Manton, Bretton, Peterborough, after the team responsible for overseeing sex offenders identified his violations of the existing restrictions.
In 2022, Steven Blades was convicted of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor and was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and Sex Offender Notification Requirements (SONR), mandating him to notify the police of any alterations to his personal circumstances within three days and to report any contact with individuals under 18 lasting more than 12 hours.
In August, the Management of Sexual or Violent Offenders (MOSOVO) team attempted to locate Steven Blades at his residence in Bretton; however, he was absent, prompting them to investigate his whereabouts.
It was revealed that he had been residing in a holiday resort in Yorkshire, where he had interacted with minors under the age of 18, thereby violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Steven Blades was apprehended and confessed to the violation, as well as an additional infraction by acquiring a gadget capable of internet access and establishing an email account without notifying law enforcement.
On Wednesday, 29 October, at Cambridge Crown Court, Steven Blades was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and five counts of noncompliance with sex offender registration notifications.
