A paedophile from Dundee, Stephen Capon, apprehended for transmitting sexual texts to an individual he believed to be a minor, has been incarcerated.
Repeat sex offender Stephen Capon was apprehended by a vigilante group that approached him at his residence in Dundee.
A 49-year-old individual was apprehended for transmitting reprehensible WhatsApp messages and voice notes to a minor, who was, in fact, an adult from Scotland’s Child Protection Team.
The Dundee Sheriff Court was informed during Stephen Capon’s sentencing hearing that he has a prior sexual offence conviction from 2007, for which he was sentenced to two years of probation.
Stephen Capon was registered as a sex offender for a duration of ten years following a nine-month prison sentence.
