On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, a paedophile, Simon Peach, who bribed young females to engage in sexual acts over the internet, was sentenced to seven years in prison at Northampton Crown Court.
Additionally, Simon Peach violated a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) from 2015 by possessing over 1,000 indecent images of children on his laptop and mobile phone.
Additionally, the 36-year-old resident of Clarke Road, Northampton, recorded an additional individual for sexual gratification.
To safeguard the public, His Honour Judge David Herbert has extended his licence by three years, as he “poses a substantial risk of serious harm to young girls.”
The judge informed Peach, “You were allowed to express your interest in young girls in 2015, but you have failed to capitalise on it.”
“You have continued to offend and have a deeply ingrained sexual interest in very young girls.”
“Over the years, your behaviour has progressed from the mere observation of young girls to the encouragement and contact of them to engage in intimate sexual activity.”
Police discovered 128 recordings of live-streams of girls under the age of 16 conducting sexual acts for payment on Peach’s laptop after it was seized in February 2020. The recordings were from August 2019 to just three days prior.
Chris Jeyes, the prosecutor, stated that the defendant and the other viewers who watched as a group were aware that the females were underage. They even made degrading comments about their youth.
The court was informed that they could provide in-software gifts to motivate the children to engage in increasingly severe sexual activities, which could be exchanged for actual money.
Police seized Peach’s laptop and phone following a monitoring visit as part of his SHPO, which revealed sexual content in his internet search history and an application that allowed him to browse anonymously and access the dark web.
The mobile device contained 1,157 indecent images and videos of minors, categorised from category A, the most severe, to category C, the least severe.
There were 49 category A images and 160 videos, 40 category B images and 42 videos, and 648 category C images and 218 videos in total, all of which starred females under the age of 16.
Judge Herbert informed him, “There are children who are harmed, and individuals such as yourself can find satisfaction in viewing these images.”
Mr Jeyes informed the court that the victim of voyeurism was “shocked and mortified” upon discovering the information.
He stated, “I am not interested in imagining the thoughts that were running through his mind,” as he read their statement. It is repulsive to me; I am filled with feelings of insecurity and anger.
“It forces you to reconsider certain aspects of your life; I require time to reconcile myself to it.”
