In 2021, while employed as a carer, Scott Swindle, a paedophile, engaged in masturbation with another individual whom he believed to be a 14-year-old female during a video call.
Scott Swindle was unaware that the lewd communications he was sending were intended for a vigilante group member, the Child Online Safety Team, who was posing as a teenager on the social network and dating app Skout.
He requested naked photographs of her and referred to her as “beautiful” and “sexy” after sending images of his penis.
Swindle expressed his desire to rob the 14-year-old of his virginity and also mentioned that the two were planning to have a threesome with his girlfriend.
He acknowledged during the conversations that what he was doing was “probably illegal,” but he maintained that she was “worth the risk.”
Swindle initially contacted the decoy profile on December 16, 2019, when he utilised a false profile named “Chris.” This information was presented to Newcastle Crown Court.
He initiated the conversation by addressing the other person with a friendly “hello,” and six minutes later, he enquired, “Are you feeling sexual?”
Kevin Wardlaw, the prosecutor, stated, “The defendant enquired as to whether she was bisexual, as her profile indicated that she had an affinity for both men and women.”[He] enquired as to whether she had ever had a boyfriend, to which she replied, “No.”
“[He] enquired as to whether she desired a boyfriend, had kissed anyone other than a family member, or was a virgin before proceeding to enquire whether she would like to engage in sexual activity with another individual, which was followed by a kiss.”
“He enquired as to when she would be able to lose her virginity.” He sent additional images of his penis, stating, “inside you, though,” when she indicated that she was.
Swindle declined to provide the decoy with an image of his face, claiming that he believed it was “probably illegal” for him to engage in conversation with her.
The teenager was even encouraged by the 34-year-old to visit his residence to engage in a threesome with him and his companion.
“He expressed his desire to kiss her body in its entirety and reiterated that he was eager to acquire her virginity,” Mr Wardlaw continued. He enquired, “May I lick your p**** for you?” and responded, “I intend to humiliate you in every way possible.”
“He also encouraged the decoy to masturbate and enquired whether she had found it enjoyable.”
“When she replied that she had not, he offered to assist her in experiencing an orgasm.”
The conversation transitioned to video calls, during which Swindle would masturbate to a teenage female whom he believed to be 14 years old.
The court was informed that he committed the sexual act in a variety of locations, including his place of employment as a caretaker.
On January 5, 2013, Swindle was humiliated when he permitted his visage to be visible on a video call.
The decoy captured a screenshot and recognised the emblem on his shirt, which revealed his place of employment.
Police officers responded to the call and apprehended Swindle, who confessed to his crimes during the interview.
He entered a plea of guilty to the charges of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to compel a child to view a sexual act.
The court was informed that Swindle’s residence in Hetton had been “ransacked” on numerous occasions since his arrest.
He is currently staying at a hotel in Newcastle, as his partner has left and he has been terminated from his position as a caretaker.
