In 2021, the Offender Register confirmed that a paedophile, Marc Stokes-Denson, expressed his intention to repeatedly violate a 12-year-old girl in the presence of her mother.
Marc Stokes-Denson even asserted that he was conducting a paedophile hunt and prolonged the conversation because he was “concerned.” Nevertheless, the jury rejected these fabrications.
Unbeknownst to the 45-year-old, he was conversing with a covert police officer who assumed the identity of “Becky.”
David Polglase, the prosecutor at Liverpool Crown Court, stated that Stokes-Denson had used the name ‘KinkDomM_UK’ on Chat Avenue and ‘live:d***stokes’ on Skype.
Stokes-Denson “established a relationship” with ‘Becky’ over a period of two months, according to Judge Anil Murray.
He informed her that he harboured sexual desires for her 12-year-old daughter, ‘Lizzie,’ and engaged in derogatory conversations regarding the two of them sexually abusing the ‘child’ together.
According to Mr Polglase, “On a particular day, the defendant engaged in sexual communication with ‘Lizzie’ after ‘Becky’ permitted her to access the computer to ‘chat.”
Stokes-Denson was apprehended in September 2019, and during a police interview, he asserted that he had reported ‘Becky’ to an online administrator, despite there being no evidence to support this claim.
He asserted that he “persisted in conversing with Becky because he was apprehensive and desired to learn more.”
He denied having a sexual attraction to minors and claimed that he continued to engage in the activity to establish “evidence” for the police.
Stokes-Denson, a resident of The Close in Walton, was found guilty by a jury of conspiring to engage in penetrative sexual activity with a minor between May 28 and August 6, 2019.
Additionally, he was found guilty of attempting sexual intercourse with a minor on the same dates.
Stokes-Denson was informed by Judge Murray that he was “at risk of causing serious harm to children.”
The judge was uncertain whether Stokes-Denson’s assertion that he was “ashamed and sorry” constituted an admission of culpability, but he rejected the claim of remorse.
Judge Murray stated, “You have demonstrated no remorse.”
Stokes-Denson was sentenced to five years and six months in prison and was required to sign the Sex Offenders Register for the rest of her life.
Additionally, he was required to comply with a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
