On 27 July 2026, Luis Clifton, aged 22, of Oakmead, Tonbridge, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple child sexual offences and court order violations.

During the check, officers seized an unauthorized mobile phone, leading to his arrest for breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
While Clifton was held in custody, digital forensic examination of the device revealed communication with an underage teenage girl via a social media application. Detectives identified and contacted the victim and her family, uncovering evidence of sexual activity and threats to share an intimate photograph.
Clifton was formally charged with six counts of sexual activity with a child, breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, failure to comply with sex offender register requirements, two counts of making indecent images of children, and threatening to disclose an intimate photograph.
