A convicted sex offender sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for raping a 14-year-old girl is residing on Hutton Lane in Guisborough, in close proximity to a neighbourhood school.
Kieran Brown stood trial and was convicted of two charges of rape relating to a violent sexual assault committed against a schoolgirl during Stokesley Fair.
The court heard that Brown approached the 14-year-old victim while she was seated on a bench. Brown attempted to kiss her and refused to take no for an answer when his advances were rejected. He pulled the child from the bench, gripped her hand, and dragged her against her will down a nearby alleyway, where he subjected her to two rapes.
Brown received a seven-year custodial sentence alongside statutory notification requirements on the Sex Offenders Register and strict post-release public protection measures.
Concerns have been raised regarding his current residence on Hutton Lane in Guisborough due to its immediate proximity to a local school. Community reports indicate that Brown has been openly telling local residents that he is a convicted rapist, claiming he is unconcerned by public reaction to his presence in the area.
