An eight-year prison sentence has been imposed on Kevin Rawlings, a “manipulative and devious” paedophile, who repeatedly sexually molested a child.

After being found guilty of 11 charges at a previous hearing in May, Kevin Rawlings, a former resident of High Street, Spalding, made an appearance at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday, July 23.

A jury found the 58-year-old guilty of eight charges of failing to comply with a sex offender notification and three counts of sexual assault, despite his denials.

Rawlings violated restrictions imposed on him for prior sexual offences in a series of occurrences that occurred in 2021.

Following his conviction, Rawlings was remanded in custody until Wednesday, when he appeared in court for sentencing.

After completing his eight-year term, he could be sent back to prison if he commits another crime within four years of his release.

The court described Rawlings as cunning and manipulative during the sentence process.

The outcome brings Rawlings to justice for his misdeeds after a protracted investigation spanning several years.

To piece together the evidence, several organisations collaborated with several Lincolnshire Police officers.
