In 2020, Jason Warner, a 33-year-old former scaffolder from Irthlingborough, was sentenced to a 30-month community order after attempting to groom a 12-year-old girl via social media.
Jason Warner, of Welford Avenue, Irthlingborough, appeared at Northampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to attempting to communicate sexually with a child. The investigation, led by Northamptonshire Police, revealed that Warner used TikTok to contact the young victim. During sentencing, the court noted Warner’s “sinister” lack of remorse for his predatory actions. While he avoided an immediate custodial sentence, the judge emphasised that his digital conduct necessitated strict, long-term legal oversight to mitigate the risk he poses to children.
The court imposed a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which grants law enforcement the power to conduct unannounced forensic audits of his digital devices and restricts his social media usage. In addition to his community order, Warner was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for five years and added to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Barring List, resulting in an indefinite ban from working with children or vulnerable adults.

Jason Warner has now been moved into the local area, Hemmingwell estate in Wellingborough, which is full of families and children. He has no remorse; he has been driving around and waving at children under police protection.
