In 2022, a then 68-year-old paedophile, Graham Carson, was incarcerated for the sexual abuse of three children.

Graham Carson, a resident of The Drive in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, was convicted of 18 historic sexual offences at Chelmsford Crown Court following a trial.

He was incarcerated for 26 years, and Judge Christopher Morgan imposed an additional six years of probation.

Essex Police reported that one of the victims had been experiencing nightmares since the assaults.

Det Con Reuben Brame, the investigating officer, stated, “The three victims in this case have endured an ordeal that is beyond comprehension.”

“The repercussions of Carson’s abuse are immeasurable, and the individuals who were impacted continue to live with the memory of what transpired daily.”

Graham Carson was informed at Chelmsford Crown Court that he would be sentenced to 26 years in prison and an additional six years on probation.

The offences were all committed between 2011 and 2014, according to the police.

It said Carson told one of the victims he wished “you were 16” and another that it would be “their secret”.

Carson was found guilty of six counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity; four counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration; four counts of rape of a child under 13; two counts of attempt to rape; and two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.

He was found not guilty of five further counts, and the prosecution offered no evidence on a 24th count.
