In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Gordon Newman, the Northampton Paedophile Sex Offender, received a sentence for the third time in a decade for distributing and possessing pornographic photos of youngsters on the internet.
Gordon Newman, residing at High Barns Close, Nottinghamshire, utilised the social media platform Tumblr to communicate with other paedophiles and disseminate filthy photographs.
However, the sentence he received at Northampton Crown Court yesterday (January 30) marks his third court appearance for the possession of indecent photographs of children since 2010.
In 2010, he received a suspended sentence and subsequently served time in jail in March 2017.
During a police visit to his residence for a compliance check related to his sexual harm prevention order in November 2018, authorities discovered that his phone was logged into Tumblr and had been disseminating photographs with other online paedophiles in private sessions.
Gordon Newman utilised the online pseudonym ‘Boundaryless’ with the profile description ‘not bad but badder’.
The court was informed that Gordon Newman engaged in online conversations with other paedophiles and made remarks such as ‘nice’ on images illustrating child abuse.
Gordon Newman subsequently entered a guilty plea for the distribution and creation of indecent pictures of minors.
Gordon Newman received a prison sentence of two years and three months.
A sexual harm prevention order prohibiting him from engaging with children or vulnerable individuals was established for a duration of 10 years.
