Keith Lockwood, then aged 72, of Kirklees, West Yorkshire, was sentenced to an additional 15 months’ imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, after being convicted of four historical counts of indecent assault against two boys.
The criminal proceedings followed a safeguarding investigation by Kirklees District Police after two further survivors came forward following Lockwood’s 2024 trial.
Lockwood was already serving a 23-year custodial term imposed in 2024 after being convicted of gross indecency with a child and sexual assault against seven victims over a 30-year period across the Kirklees area.
The court heard that during his latest trial, evidence proved Lockwood indecently assaulted one victim aged 14 to 15 between May 1979 and May 1981.
He was also convicted of three counts of indecent assault committed between March 1988 and March 1991 against a second boy who was aged 12 when Lockwood first targeted him.
Lockwood entered not guilty pleas, forcing both adult survivors to give evidence during a Crown Court trial in July 2026. One of the victims travelled from North America, where he now resides, to testify in person.
In a victim personal statement read to the court, the survivor described how Lockwood was solely responsible for taking his childhood away and had ruined his life for 47 years.

Sentencing Lockwood on 1 September 2026, the presiding judge handed down a custodial term of 15 months’ imprisonment to be served consecutively to his existing 23-year sentence. Lockwood remains subject to lifetime registration on the Sex Offenders Register.
