In 2022, Fatai Olaiya London Sex Offender, A Black British man, perpetrated a sexual assault on a woman at a bus stop in Cambridge shortly after taking a rucksack from a defenceless man.
Fatai Olaiya, then 48, attempted to seize the bag from a man who was slumbering on a bench in Midsummer Common at the beginning of September of the previous year.
Following the continuous assault on the victim, Fatai Olaiya fled with the rucksack containing a passport, laptop and iPad.
On the same day, Fatai Olaiya approached a young woman who was waiting at a bus stop on Cherry Hinton High Street.
He enquired about the location of the nearest Cash Converters branch and displayed the stolen iPad to her.
He made sexual comments to the woman, caressed her hair, and then touched her side before extending his hand to her waist.
Fatai Olaiya was apprehended approximately one hour later. The stolen things were retrieved from a nearby shop where he attempted to sell them.
Fatai Olaiya, residing on Eardley Road, London, confessed to charges of robbery and sexual assault.
On September 27 at Cambridge Crown Court, Fatai Olaiya received a sentence of three years and ten months in prison.
