Ed Giddins, a former England Cricket Player, was formally interviewed under caution in 2026 regarding attempted rape and sexual assault at Old Rd, Magham Down.

In 1986, Eastbourne College of Old Wish Road, Eastbourne, allegedly organised a skiing holiday for Giddins, during which he allegedly perpetrated the attempted rape.

The sex attack was committed by Giddins against a fellow pupil in a room provided by the private school. The teacher on the excursion was informed of the incident at the time, but the accusations were dismissed.

However, employees at Eastbourne College returned Giddins to England on the day the accusations were made.

He allegedly committed the second attack in 1990, during which he allegedly attempted to insert his finger into the anus of the vulnerable victim outside Eastbourne Pier during a chance encounter.

In 1982, Giddins was also accused of perpetrating numerous sexual assaults on fellow students at Saint Bedes (now known as Bedes) in Eastbourne, before transferring to Eastbourne College.

The case was declared NFA after a Specialist Sex Crimes investigation that lasted over six months, and he denied all the allegations.

Sussex Police are open to receiving any new information regarding this individual.
