In 2022, the Offender Database confirmed that Dave Bolam, 41, of Tenby Gardens, Doncaster, has been incarcerated for his actions in destroying the childhood of the girl, after grooming her over social media for weeks before sexually assaulting her.
Sheffield Crown Court heard how THEN 41-year-old Bolam met his victim at a party and began communicating with her via social media over the course of a week-long trial.
Ultimately, Bolam convinced his victim to remain at his residence, instructing her to inform her family members that she was at a friend’s residence. During the night of February 15, he engaged in sexual intercourse with her.
Officers were informed by the victim, who maintains her anonymity for life, that Bolam had made three attempts to remove her shorts, and she had declined each time. He persisted in assuring her that “it was alright, and no one would find out” before engaging in sexual intercourse with her.
The victim bravely disclosed the events to the authorities, and an inquiry was initiated.
Dave Bolam was charged with nine counts of sexual activity with a child and was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison. He was also placed on the sex offender register for life and has a sexual harm prevention order in place following his release.
