The Edinburgh High Court has condemned a former police officer to ten years in prison.
Cameron Ross, 39, was sentenced on Thursday, 2 July 2026, after being found guilty of violent and non-recent sexual offences against women in the Inverness and Western Isles areas at the same court on Monday, 25 May.
In June 2026, Ross left Police Scotland after being suspended on full pay for years.
He has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely (this means he is not on it for life and can ask to be removed after 15 years).
Cameron Ross was a serving Police Scotland Officer when he carried out the sexual assaults.
