In 2022, Awais Rehman, a Peterborough Rapist who assaulted two women on a pavement in Peterborough five years prior, was sentenced to over six years in prison.
Awais Rehman, now 20 and legally permitted to be identified, raped a woman on the morning of 30 September 2017, and subsequently sexually assaulted and robbed another woman just after 1 pm on 6 October.
Awais Rehman received a sentence of six years and two months in jail, followed by an additional eight years on licence.
Awais Rehman was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and a restraining order prohibiting contact with his victims, both of which are to remain in effect indefinitely.
