Ali Mahmood Abdulmageed has received a 17-year prison sentence for rape, false imprisonment, strangulation, coercive and controlling behaviour, and violence.
His misconduct was revealed after bystanders intervened in an incident with Ali Mahmood Abdulmageed in Cardiff in August 2022.
Law enforcement officials were summoned, resulting in the arrest of Ali Mahmood Abdulmageed.
The 34-year-old individual from Heath was convicted after a trial and received his sentence today (Friday, December 13) at Cardiff Crown Court.
Detective Constable Ian Booker of South Wales Police stated: “Ali Mahmood Abdulmageed perpetrated a sequence of violent and degrading assaults on the victim.”
“We anticipate that today’s sentencing will provide some solace to the victim and facilitate her journey towards restoring her confidence.”
