A Doncaster prison employee, Aiden Evans, was imprisoned after numerous coworkers courageously came forward to reveal a list of sexual assaults.

Aiden Evans entered a guilty plea to nine counts of sexual assault and two counts of attempted sexual assault following an investigation by our Prison Anti-Corruption Unit.

Evans committed the crime while working at HMP Moorland in Doncaster. Outside of the prison environment, he committed his crimes both at work and at job-related social gatherings.

Following an initial police report, a comprehensive investigation was conducted, which revealed additional victims. Detectives thoroughly collected several statements and examined text messages.

Evans attempted to justify his actions as “banter” during police interviews, but more enquiries revealed inconsistencies in his account of what happened.

Evans, 30, of Turnberry Court, Bentley, was sentenced to four years and one month in jail on Friday, June 26, at Sheffield Crown Court.
