In 2026, a 57-year-old convicted sex offender with a history of predatory sexual offences against young boys appeared before Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Andrew Parsons, who also operates under the alias Andrew Ferguson, is currently living in Aberdeen, Scotland, having previously resided and offended in Tyne and Wear and County Durham.
Court records outline a pattern of predatory behaviour targeting male children. In 2010, Parsons was convicted after exposing himself to a 15-year-old in the public conveniences at the Eldon Square shopping centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. In another incident, Parsons followed a nine-year-old child home from a local youth club in the village of Greenside, subsequently attempting to force entry into the young boy’s bedroom through a window.
He was caught sexually grooming a 15 year old in 2021 and jailed for 18 months. Upon release, he was caught on camera masturbating in dense bushes at Mandela Way, Gateshead, in front of the Metrocentre shopping complex with schoolboys going past on the street outside.
In March 2025, he advertised a gloryhole on Grindr to lure unsuspecting victims to his one bedroom flat in Seaham, County Durham.
Locals were horrified and smashed the place up.
Parsons fled with just a suitcase of clothes and went to live with his mother in Crawcrook.
He was seen going in and out of public toilets overlooking childrens’ play areas in Wylam and Prudhoe.
Following community confrontation and property damage at his former address, Parsons fled the area and established residency in Aberdeen.
Concerns were subsequently raised regarding his activities in public conveniences, including reports of loitering in the male toilets at Aberdeen Railway Station.
Police Scotland intervened after Parsons failed to adhere to the strict prohibitions imposed upon him, placing him under arrest and bringing him before Aberdeen Sheriff Court for an active breach of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Parsons remains subject to ongoing statutory notifications on the Sex Offenders Register and stringent court-ordered behavioural requirements monitored by public protection authorities.
