Scott Kitching, who was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment in 2018 for a series of sexual assaults against six young girls—including an infant aged just five months—is currently residing in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, and utilising an online alias on social media.
Court proceedings at Teesside Crown Court in 2018 detailed how Kitching, then aged 21 and living in Hartlepool, targeted six female victims whose ages ranged from five months to 12 years old.
The court heard that Kitching sexually assaulted four young girls by pulling down their trousers or leggings.
During an assault on a 12-year-old child, the victim repeatedly warned Kitching to stop. When he ignored her protests and continued the sexual assault, the girl punched him directly in the face to defend herself.
Following his initial arrest, Kitching was released on court bail to an address situated in West Yorkshire.
Within 24 hours of being granted bail, Kitching breached the protection of the community by carrying out six further sexual assaults against a five-month-old baby.
Under statutory legislation, all child victims of sexual offences are protected by lifelong anonymity.
Kitching was convicted of multiple counts of sexual assault and sentenced at Teesside Crown Court to an immediate custodial term of 18 months.
Community safety reports now confirm that Kitching is residing in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, within close proximity to Brighouse Sixth Form College.
Additionally, digital records indicate that Kitching is operating an active profile on the social media platform Facebook under the unregistered alias of Sean Dewhirst.
