Callum Jaxon, aged 31, of no fixed abode but from the Merseyside area, has been sentenced to six years’ imprisonment at Caernarfon Crown Court on Thursday, 27 August 2026, after pleading guilty to six child grooming and sexual assault offences.
The criminal investigation began after North Wales Police received reports regarding the sexual exploitation of a 15-year-old girl in Holyhead between March and April last year.
The court heard that Jaxon initially targeted the child online, initiating conversations that contained explicit sexualised discussions despite knowing the victim’s age and vulnerability.
Jaxon arranged to meet the teenager in person and travelled in his car to pick her up from school on several occasions.
During one of these meetings, Jaxon sexually assaulted the girl by kissing her chest without consent, causing physical bruising to her skin as she attempted to push him away.
Moments later, Jaxon engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with the victim.
Following the assault, Jaxon attempted to conceal his offending by demanding that the victim delete all message logs and chat histories from her mobile device.
Specialist safeguarding detectives investigated the case, gathering evidence that led to Jaxon being arrested and charged.
Appearing before Caernarfon Crown Court, Jaxon admitted the full indictment and pleaded guilty to:
- Two counts of sexual assault
- One count of engaging in sexual communication with a child
- One count of sending a message to arrange to engage in sexual activity with a child
- One count of meeting a girl following grooming
- One count of engaging in sexual activity with a child
The presiding judge sentenced Jaxon to a custodial term of six years’ imprisonment.
In addition to the prison sentence, the court granted a lifelong Restraining Order to safeguard the victim, imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and ordered Jaxon to register on the Sex Offenders Register for the rest of his life.
