Nathan Behrens, aged 21, of Julien Court Road, Braintree, Essex, was sentenced to 16 years’ imprisonment with an extended eight-year licence at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday, 14 August 2026, after pleading guilty to eight child sexual offences.

The court heard that the offences took place over three years between 2022 and 2025. The abuse involved children, including a victim as young as four years old. Essex Police launched an investigation into the reports, taking accounts from the victims and examining Behrens’s electronic devices. • Three counts of sexual assault
  • One count of assault by penetration
  • One count of possession or making of indecent images of children
  • One count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child
  • One count of causing a child to watch an image of sexual activity

On 14 August 2026, the presiding judge handed Behrens an extended sentence totalling 24 years, ordering that he serve 16 years in prison followed by an extended licence period of eight years.
