Luke Simon, aged 42, of Redditch, Worcestershire, was sentenced to 27 years’ imprisonment at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, 13 August 2026, after being convicted of 22 child sexual abuse offences.

The court heard that Simon’s offending took place over a ten-year period, targeting multiple children under the age of 13. The abuse came to light in 2023, prompting a multi-year investigation by West Mercia Police’s Protecting People Unit (PPU). Detectives gathered extensive evidence and witness testimonies to construct a comprehensive indictment covering more than a decade of abuse.

Simon maintained his innocence throughout proceedings, requiring the case to proceed to a full crown court trial. Following deliberations, a jury found Simon guilty of 22 charges:

  • Two counts of rape of a child under 13
  • Twenty counts of sexual assault on children under 13

On 13 August 2026, the presiding judge sentenced Simon to a total custodial term of 27 years’ imprisonment. In addition to the prison sentence, the court made Simon subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and imposed a restraining order.
