In 2021, Glen Dickinson, THEN a 37-year-old man from Seaton Delaval, was jailed for 11 years after being convicted of historic sexual attacks against a seven-year-old girl.
Glen Dickinson, of Kearsley Close, Seaton Delaval, Northumberland, was found guilty by a jury at Newcastle Crown Court of two serious sexual assaults on a child. The court heard that Dickinson had previously served a prison sentence in 2014 for abusing another young girl. The second victim subsequently came forward to Northumbria Police to report abuse that occurred before his 2014 conviction. Dickinson’s actions left the victim with severe anxiety, depression, and long-term trauma.
Judge Tim Gittins designated Dickinson as a dangerous offender and sentenced him to 11 years in prison with an extended licence period of one year.
Following his convictions, Dickinson remains subject to lifelong Sex Offenders Register requirements and an existing Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) from 2014.
He also remains subject to statutory extended licence conditions, multi-agency risk management protocols, and law enforcement monitoring upon release.
