In 2026, Luke Tilsley, a 24-year-old man from Little Fransham, was handed a 28-month suspended prison sentence after sending explicit messages to undercover officers he believed were young girls.
Luke Tilsley, of Station Road, Little Fransham, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday, 30 July 2026, having previously admitted five counts of attempted sexual communication with a child, three counts of making indecent images of children, and attempting to cause a child to watch sexual activity. The court heard that between May 2023 and January 2024, Tilsley communicated online with profiles he believed belonged to girls aged 12 and 13, sending explicit messages, graphic photos, and videos while requesting naked pictures in return. Undercover police officers operated the accounts. Tilsley was arrested in May 2024, with examinations revealing explicit messages sent to an unknown child and indecent images of children stored on his phone.
The judge sentenced Tilsley to 28 months’ imprisonment, suspended for two years. He was also ordered to pay £933 in court costs and a victim surcharge.
Following his convictions for child online sexual exploitation and indecent image offences, Tilsley was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and made subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
He also remains subject to statutory public protection notification requirements, mandatory supervision, and strict risk management protocols by law enforcement throughout his suspended sentence and monitoring period.
