On Thursday, June 11, Pascal Bitton, 35, of Weston-super-Mare, received a sentence at North Somerset Court.

Following a trial at the same court on Wednesday, March 18, he was found guilty of rape, sexual assault, inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl, two counts of offering to supply a class A drug, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, and possession of an offensive weapon.

He received an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and a 10-year, 6-month prison sentence.

When the girls were alone, Bitton approached them and collected their contact information. After that, he gave them rides in his car while offering and supplying them with large amounts of narcotics and/or alcohol. Bitton sexually assaulted the girls once they were alone and inebriated.

After a multi-year investigation into child sexual exploitation, Bitton was found guilty of his offence on Child Exploitation Awareness Day and sentenced. Throughout the investigation, we stayed in touch with the victims and provided them with access to any available support services.
