The Offender Database has reported that Kent Police is seeking witnesses following a reported sexual assault in Sheerness, Kent. The incident occurred in an alleyway off the High Street, near the junction with Bridge Road, at around 5.35 pm on Wednesday 3 December 2025. It is alleged a woman was approached by a man she did not know who sexually assaulted her.
Officers attended and reported that a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident on Monday 7 December. The then 48-year-old man of no fixed address was later released on bail pending further enquiries. This appeal is part of the ongoing effort by the authorities to identify and monitor those who target members of the community in public spaces.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses who may have information that will assist their investigation. Specifically, they would like to speak to three boys who accompanied the victim to a nearby fast-food restaurant after the incident. They are also seeking a man who may have been approached by the suspect and was engaged in conversation with him while sitting on a seat at Sheerness train station, Sheerness, Kent, at around 6.43 pm that evening.
