In 2025, the Offender Database reported that Toby Davies, then 23, of Glynrodyn, Llandysul, Ceredigion, was sentenced at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court. Davies pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child on 5 February 2023.

The investigation revealed that Davies messaged a decoy account named “Emily,” believing he was communicating with a girl. During the exchange, Davies discussed masturbation and other sexual matters.

Davies appeared for sentencing on 16 July 2025. The court imposed the following:
