In 2026, the Offender Database reported that Tom Heckley, 25, of Muirfield Way, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, was jailed for seven years and two months at Lincoln Crown Court on 22 January. Heckley pleaded guilty to a “serious” and “vile” series of non-recent sexual offences committed against a teenage girl, as well as the possession of child abuse material.

The investigation by Lincolnshire Police began in October 2023 following a report of crimes committed in 2021. At the time of the “vicious” offending, Heckley was then 20 years old. Forensic examination of his seized mobile phone uncovered “vile” chat logs and indecent images of other teenage girls under the age of 16.

Catalogue of Sexual Offences

Heckley was convicted of 15 “serious” offences. The court reported that these included:

  • Seven counts of sexual activity with a child involving penetration.
  • One count of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
  • One count of attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.
  • Six counts of possessing indecent images of children.

The judge emphasised that the “vile” nature of the digital evidence found on Heckley’s phone proved he had been targeting multiple victims in the Lincolnshire area.

Sentence and Lifetime Monitoring

For his “abhorrent” crimes in Woodhall Spa and across Lincolnshire, Tom Heckley was:

  • Sentenced to seven years and two months in prison.
  • Placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
  • Subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Monitoring and Public Protection

Heckley is managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) by Lincolnshire Police. His residency in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, and his digital behaviour remain under the most “serious” level of scrutiny.

As a lifetime member of the Sex Offenders Register, Heckley must comply with strict notification requirements. Lincolnshire Police emphasise that their specialist units are “serious” about investigating non-recent reports to ensure predators are held accountable for their past “vicious” actions. Any breach of his lifetime SHPO or further “vile” digital behaviour will result in his immediate return to Lincoln Crown Court.
