In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Kristy Kimbler, then 26, of York Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, was sentenced to nine years and four months in prison at Maidstone Crown Court. Kristy Kimbler was convicted of a “wicked catalogue” of horrific sexual offences after filming herself abusing a young child. The vile abuse was discovered when Kimbler asked a friend to fix her mobile phone; despite her laughing warning not to look at the videos, the friend’s curiosity led him to discover disturbing footage of a child being forced to use a sex toy. At the same time, Kimbler provided instructions in the background.
The court heard that Kristy Kimbler was involved in a sickening online relationship with a man she referred to as “master” and “sir,” describing herself as his “slave.” This individual had reportedly contacted some 200 women to incite similar violent abuse. Forensic analysis of Kimbler’s phone revealed that she had distributed horrendous video clips of the child, who could be seen sobbing and shouting “stop”. At the same time, Kimbler ignored the pleas for her own sexual gratification. The judge noted that the depravity revealed in the evidence was “breathtaking” and had caused profound damage to the vulnerable victim.
Kristy Kimbler was admitted to 15 offences, including inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, sexual assault, and the distribution of indecent photographs. While her defence argued she was under the control of her online “master,” Judge David Griffith-Jones QC stated this provided only limited mitigation for such systematic and violent abuse. Kimbler will serve half of her sentence in custody before being released on license. The judge emphasised that the child’s life had been “irrevocably damaged” by Kimbler’s predatory and depraved actions in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
As a result of her convictions for these horrific crimes against a child, Kristy Kimbler has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life. She was also made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and is indefinitely barred from working with children or vulnerable adults. She will be managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) by Kent Police, remaining under supervision for the duration of her life. Any breach of her registration requirements or her SHPO in Tunbridge Wells or elsewhere will result in her immediate arrest and prosecution.
