In 2023, the Offender Database reported that Liam Netherton, a Flixborough and Wigan Paedophile Child Molester, then 28, currently residing on Lancaster Road, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison after being convicted of five counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 15.
He was issued a sexual harm prevention order and permanently registered as a sex offender.
Liam Netherton selected his victim from October 2018 to January 2019 to satisfy his sexual desires.
The incidents occurred in the North Lincolnshire region, and Liam Netherton was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on Tuesday, 11 July, for his transgressions.
Officer in the case, Detective Constable Katie Drapier of Humberside Police, said: “I would like to praise the victim for her bravery and strength throughout the entirety of the investigation and court proceedings.
“I know how incredibly difficult it can be to come forward and take that first step, but by reporting these offences to us, they have helped us bring this disgusting man to justice.
“Whilst today’s sentencing will not detract from the pain and suffering endured, I hope the sentencing will provide them with some closure in knowing this predator can no longer cause harm to them or any other child.
