The Offender Database reported that Jordan Woods, a North Shields Paedophile Child Molester, has been incarcerated for the sexual abuse of a child, while his courageous survivor articulates the enduring consequences of his offences.

Jordan Woods, aged 27, sexually assaulted the schoolgirl about a decade ago in the North Tyneside region.

In 2022, after years of silence regarding her experiences, the victim reported the offences to the authorities.

Woods was apprehended and interrogated by officers, during which he refuted the claims made against him.

In July 2023, Woods, residing on Railway Terrace in North Shields, North Tyneside, was charged with sexual assault by touching and inciting a female under the age of 13 to participate in a sexual act.

In January, he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court, where a jury convicted him of both charges following a trial.

Today (Thursday), he appeared in the same court where he received a sentence of two years and two months in prison. Woods was convicted as a minor due to the specific circumstances of the case.

In an impact statement presented to the court, the victim articulated the effects of Woods’ actions on her life.

She said, “I kept what happened to myself for a long time. No one understood me, but I think this was because of what he did to me.

“At one point, I was getting really bad dreams. Sometimes I still get the dreams.”

She continued: “I have had to attend counselling. I have also struggled with body image, and because of this, I wouldn’t wear certain clothes.

“I felt like I wouldn’t want to wear anything which would give the impression I was there to be used.”

Woods will spend ten years on the Sex Offenders’ Register and was handed a restraining order to protect the victim.
