William Marshall McKinney, then 60, previously of St Helens and currently residing in Newton le Willows, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to the creation and distribution of indecent pictures of minors.
The court was informed that William Marshall McKinney was apprehended after a Google account registered in his name was discovered to include photographs of child exploitation.
Upon examining William Marshall McKinney’s laptop, law enforcement discovered numerous indecent photographs of youngsters as young as four years old.
A significant quantity of those photographs was categorised in the most egregious classification, depicting the sexual assault, rape, torture, and murder of children.
The sick individual also amassed photographs of deceased youngsters in coffins.
The authorities also uncovered that William Marshall McKinney had disseminated numerous photographs to other like-minded paedophiles online.
The judge imposed a nine-month prison sentence on William Marshall McKinney, which was suspended for a period of two years.
A 20-day rehabilitation and activity order was mandated.
The judge informed William Marshall McKinney that he is required to comply with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and must register as a sex offender for a duration of ten years.
