In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Sidney John Jenkins, the Woolavington Paedophile Child Molester, a then 77-year-old man, was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted of multiple historical child sexual offences.
Sidney John Jenkins, from Woolavington, Somerset, exploited vulnerable victims on his vessels and at the clubhouse of his sailing club in the Bridgwater region.
He also perpetrated offences at a caravan he maintained in Cannington and at one of his victims’ residences.
After a trial at Taunton Crown Court, he was found guilty of 12 charges of rape, three acts of sexual assault, and two counts of inducing a child to engage in sexual activity.
He received his sentence at Bristol Crown Court.
Sidney John Jenkins perpetrated the acts from 2004 to 2009 against two adolescent females.
