In 2023, the Offender Database reported that Scott Davis, the Melksham Paedophile Child Molester, 39, from Wiltshire, assaulted a 15-year-old girl as she was walking home in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2022.
In a victim impact statement, she asserted: “You deprived a 15-year-old girl of her liberty.”
Davis, residing on Portman Road, received a two-year prison sentence for sexual assault by touching and was issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
He declined to testify during his trial at Salisbury Crown Court to avoid both giving evidence and being cross-examined.
During his trial, the court was informed that Davis observed the girl walking alone following a New Year’s Eve celebration in Roundponds at approximately 05:00 GMT.
She was proceeding to the opposite side of Melksham, and Davis volunteered to accompany her.
He firmly seized her hand, preventing her from withdrawing, encircled her waist, imposed himself upon her to kiss her, and groped her posterior beneath her clothing.
In her statement, the victim said the stress of the case had been “unimaginable, as if it was never going to end”.
